Man Shot, Injured in Huntington Station


A 21-year-old Huntington Station man has been hospitalized after he was shot near his home on Wednesday night, Suffolk County police said.

Shaka Butler was walking along Broadway when two men approached him and shot him in the neck at 9:15 p.m., police said. Butler was taken to Huntington Hospital via where he was admitted in stable condition.

Second Squad detectives ask that anyone who may have witnessed this shooting call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS or call the Second Squad at 631-854-8252. All calls will be kept confidential. The investigation is continuing.
