An Oceanside man was arrested Tuesday for selling rare coins without the owner’s permission, according to Nassau County police.
Anthony Lombardo, 49, a self-employed coin dealer, agreed to clean and appraise three coins for an individual. During the time Lombardo had the coins, he sold them to another person. One of the coins is reportedly valued at $75,000. None of the coins have been recovered yet.
Lombardo will be arraigned today in First District Court in Hempstead.
