Cops: Driver High in Brentwood Crash With Girl in Car


A Bohemia man was arrested for driving while high on drugs after he crashed with a 13-year-old girl in his car in Brentwood on Saturday morning, Suffolk County police said.

Anthony Pulizzi, 28, was driving his Toyota sedan when he drove off the road and through a fence at the corner of Route 111 and Apple Street at 11:26 a.m., police said.  Pulizzi, his girlfriend and his girlfriend’s 13-year-old sister climbed out of the car.

The girl was taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore with minor injuries. She was released to the custody of her father.

Pulizzi was charged with aggravated driving while under the influence of drugs with a child passenger less than 16.  He was also charged with aggravated unlicensed operation and one count of endangering the welfare of a child.

Pulizzi will be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Sunday.
