Islip Terrace Man Killed in Car Crash


A car crash claimed the life of a 51-year-old Islip Terrace man in North Great River on Monday morning.
 
Suffolk County police said William Geist was driving a Saturn eastbound on Sea Cliff Street and Maria Creedon, 31, of Greenlawn, was driving a Nissan Maxima southbound on Lowell Avenue when the two vehicles collided at the intersection at 6:58 a.m.

Both drivers were taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore.
 
Geist was pronounced dead a short time later. Creedon was treated for multiple injuries including a fractured right knee and was listed in satisfactory condition.
 
Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks.

Third Squad detectives are asking anyone who has information about this crash to call them at 631-854-8352.
