Artist Louise Bourgeois dies in NYC at 98
NEW YORK (AP) — Her studio’s managing director says artist Louise Bourgeois (burzh-WAH’) has died in New York City, after a lengthy career of exploring women’s deepest feelings on birth, sexuality and death. She was 98. Wendy Williams of Louise Bourgeois Studio says the sculptor died at Beth Israel Medical Center on Monday, two days after suffering a heart attack

Marlins selling tickets to Halladay’s perfect game
MIAMI (AP) — Here’s a chance to buy tickets to a guaranteed perfect game – the one Roy Halladay already threw. The Florida Marlins will begin selling on Tuesday unused tickets to the game in which the Philadelphia Phillies ace pitched the 20th perfect game in major league history, a 1-0 victory over the Marlins on Saturday. Mike Conway will miss 3 months after scary crash
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — IndyCar driver Mike Conway will miss up to three months with back and leg injuries from his frightening crash in the Indianapolis 500 on Sunday. Conway had surgery for multiple fractures in his lower left leg and has been diagnosed with a compression fracture in his back. The back injury was not confirmed until Monday morning.
Arizona State top seed in NCAA baseball tourney
NEW YORK (AP) — Arizona State was selected Monday as the top seed for the 64-team NCAA Division I college baseball tournament. The Sun Devils (47-8) won the Pac-10 title under interim coach Tim Esmay, who replaced Pat Murphy after he abruptly resigned in November after 15 years.
