Blackhawks’ Ladd to sit out Game 2
CHICAGO (AP) — Blackhawks winger Andrew Ladd will miss Game 2 of the Stanley Cup finals against the Philadelphia Flyers because of an undisclosed injury. Flyers winger Daniel Carcillo, a healthy scratch the previous three games, will suit up Monday night. The Blackhawks expect to have Ladd available at some point in the series

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Dwight Howard might not play for USA Basketball at this summer’s world championships.
Temptations singer Ali-Ollie Woodson dies at 58
DETROIT (AP) — Ali-Ollie Woodson, who led the legendary Motown quintet The Temptations in the 1980s and ’90s and helped restore them to their hit-making glory with songs including “Treat Her Like A Lady,” has died, a friend said. He was 58. Woodson died Sunday in southern California after battling cancer, Motown Alumni Association President Billy Wilson said.
New York racing woes overshadowing Belmont Stakes
NEW YORK (AP) — The most intriguing five weeks of the thoroughbred racing season come to a close with Saturday’s 142nd running of the Belmont Stakes, the final leg of the Triple Crown and New York’s premier horse race. While there’s not much buzz surrounding the lackluster field lining up for the 1 1/2-mile trip around Belmont Park this year – no Triple Crown on the line and neither Kentucky Derby winner Super Saver nor Preakness winner Lookin At Lucky are running – there’s plenty humming when it comes to the frazzled financial state of racing in New York. Sure, the entire industry is far from flourishing, but in New York some would argue it’s simply floundering
Tough times help Franchitti savor Ganassi’s double
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Dario Franchitti feels right at home next to the two biggest trophies in American racing. The two-time Indianapolis 500 champion spent more than an hour having pictures taken before capturing the signature moment – team owner Chip Ganassi standing between his new Indy champ and his Daytona champ, Jamie McMurray. It was the first time any car owner took both trophies in the same season.
