A Lloyd Harbor family is celebrating the return of Cooper. The little white dog went missing four years ago.

The fluffy pup was dropped off at the Islip animal shelter about a month ago. He’d been found on a Brentwood street, about 17 miles from his home.

Shelter supervisor Joanne Daly says a scanner located a microchip ID under Cooper’s skin.
The dog was reported missing in 2006. Except for matted hair, he was in good condition.
Owner Gwynne Wicks did not immediately return a call for comment Thursday. She told Newsday that Cooper is “very happy to be home.”
Cooper’s breed is called coton de Tulear.
