2 Arrested in North Amityville Drug Raid

Two men were arrested on drug charges after Suffolk County police executed a search warrant at a North Amityville home on Tuesday.
 
After receiving complaints from residents concerning an unusual volume of vehicular and pedestrian traffic at a Brandon Avenue home, First Squad detectives investigated and executed a search warrant. Crack cocaine, drug paraphernalia and cash were seized, police said.
 
Rashawn Pernell, 21, who lives in the house, was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
 
Ranell Brooks, 19, of Copiague, was charged with two counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance.
 
They will be arraigned Wednesday at First District Court in Central Islip.
