An armed robber wearing a Darth Vader mask and a cape held up a bank in Setauket Thursday morning.

Suffolk County police said the Star Wars fanatic entered the Chase bank branch on Route 347, displayed a handgun and demanded cash at 11:30 a.m. The teller gave the robber cash from the drawer and the man fled eastbound through the parking lot, police said.
The suspect is described as between 6 feet and 6 feet 2 inches tall. He was wearing a Darth Vader mask, a blue cape and camouflage pants.
Major Case detectives are asking anyone with information to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
