A 45-year-old South Farmingdale was arrested for sending sexually explicit Internet messages to an undercover officer that he believed was a minor, Nassau County police said.

Kevin McClorey engaged in “online sexual activity with someone he believed to be a 14-year-old child who actually was an undercover Phoenix Arizona police officer,” police said in a statement.

McClorey was charged with attempted disseminating indecent material to a minor and attempted  endangering the welfare of a child.

He will be arraigned Friday at First District Court in Hempstead.
