Veteran Italian screenwriter Cecchi D’Amico dies
ROME (AP) — Screenwriter Suso Cecchi D’Amico, who emerged from the male-dominated post-war Italian cinema to become a celebrated artist and contribute to such milestones as “Bicycle Thieves” and “The Leopard,” died Saturday at age 96. Pressel shoots course-record 65 at Royal Birkdale
SOUTHPORT, England (AP) — Morgan Pressel has shot a course record 7-under 65 at Royal Birkdale to get back up among the leaders at the British Women’s Open. After dropping shots at the first two holes Saturday, the American had eight birdies and an eagle while dropping just one more stroke to move from four over overnight to three under.
