Pressel shoots course-record 65 at Royal Birkdale

SOUTHPORT, England (AP) — Morgan Pressel has shot a course record 7-under 65 at Royal Birkdale to get back up among the leaders at the British Women’s Open. After dropping shots at the first two holes Saturday, the American had eight birdies and an eagle while dropping just one more stroke to move from four over overnight to three under. Pressel said her performance put her “right back in the tournament.” Pressel is five shots behind overnight leader Yani Tseng of Taiwan, who starts her third round later Saturday.
