A Greenlawn man was arrested Wednesday afternoon for drunken driving with a toddler in the car, Suffolk County police said.
Shawndekk Wilder, 48, was driving on Jericho Turnpike in Huntington Station with his girlfriend’s one-year-old son in the back seat when he was pulled over for tinted windows and a cracked windshield at 4:30 p.m., police said.

Officers asid that Wilder was drunk and and his license had been suspended 18 times.
Wilder was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated with a passenger 15 years old or younger under Leandra’s Law. He was also charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated unlicensed operation and endangering the welfare of a child.
The child’s mother, Alicia Fabre, 25, of Huntington, was also arrested after she admitted to police that she knew Wilder had been drinking prior to driving. She was charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
Suffolk County Child Protective Services was notified and the boy was released into the custody of his grandparents.
Wilder will be arraigned Thursday at First District Court in Central Islip. Fabre will be arraigned at a future date.
