Elyse Porterfield, The HOPA/HPOA Who Quit Job Via Whiteboard

by Christine Smith

Hear the story about how a girl named Jenny quit her job using a dry erase board and an e-mail? Great story, right? Unfortunately, it’s not true, but rather a hoax from the makers of the Trump Tip hoax and the Teen Texting Disaster hoax.

TheChive.com posted a picture slideshow Monday consisting of 33 shots of a girl named Jenny. Jenny was fed up being called a HPOA—Hot Piece of Ass—by her boss, Spencer, so she took to her whiteboard to vent, in the process exposing her boss as a Farmville-playing pig with a bad temper and bad hygiene.

Today, however, “Jenny” came clean as Elyse Porterfield, an actress in Los Angles. The entire story was fake—a hoax strictly for entertainment purposes.

The website gained a lot of attention from the both postings and did exactly what it was supposed to do. Ms. Porterfield expressed how she, “had a blast” with the whole ordeal on her second-to-last white board message and the last message on the dry erase board read, “I hope you’ve been ENTERTAINED.”
