Egg Recall: Egg Recall Brands, States Affected

Millions–228 million to be exact–of eggs  have been recalled, after a salmonella outbreak at an Iowa egg producer was discovered.

Several illnesses in Colorado, Minnesota and California have been linked to eggs from Wright County Egg in Galt, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.  The CDC says an average of 200 cases of the salmonella strains were reported weekly during June and July, four times greater than normal.

The eggs were distributed across the country under the names: Lucerne, Albertson, Mountain Dairy, Ralph’s, Boomsma’s, Sunshine, Hillandale, Trafficanda, Farm Fresh, Shoreland, Lund, Dutch Farms and Kemp.
