Cops: Man in Pink Fled Failed Lynbrook Hold-up

A man dressed as a woman tried to rob a Lynbrook stationary store at gunpoint on Thursday afternoon, Nassau County police said.

A man wearing a pink jumpsuit, blonde wig and carrying an off-white ladies handbag pulled out a handgun and demanded money from the clerk at C and R Stationery Store on Union Avenue at 1:25 p.m., police said.

The victim was unable to open the register, so the robber stole a Gatorade and fled northbound on Union Avenue.
