In a world full of over Botoxed reality stars, size zero models and scary Madonna arms, Mariska Hargitay aka badass Detective Olivia Benson on Law & Order SVU says she’s proud of her body.
Hargitay says she’s proud of her size 8 frame and that beauty has no influence on her self-esteem.

“I think I’m a very attractive person, but I don’t put myself in the realm of the beauty…That’s not where I get my esteem,” she tells ShowbizSpy.com. “I’m a size 8, and I feel proud of that, because it’s healthy. I’ve never felt compelled to be a skinny actress. Being a sex symbol is not my thing; it’s not where I shine.”
Hargitay plays Detective Olivia Benson on Law & Order Special Victims Unit, but in her down time she heads up the Joyful Heart Foundation to help real-life victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
