A North Carolina man wanted for murder in his hometown of Charlotte is among two suspects accused of fatally shooting an Inwood man Saturday night, Nassau County police said.
James Currie, 25, was charged with second-degree murder along with 23-year-old Tyshaun Jacobs of Oceanside.

Homicide Squad detectives said Currie and Jacobs shot and killed 30-year-old Desmond Kelly while robbing the victim at his Wanser Avenue home at 9 p.m.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police added that Currie is facing a murder charge for the fatal shooting a man in the hallway of an East Charlotte apartment building on Aug. 7. Currie will later be extradited to face those charges.
Both suspects were held without bail following their arraignments at First District Court in Hempstead earlier this week.
The men were each represented by Legal Aid attorneys. They are due back in court on Sept. 9.
