A crazed actor hacked his mother to death last night in his Brooklyn apartment. Neighbors and cops said that Brea could be heard screaming “Repent, repent, repent!” and shouting other biblical and masonic references.

Michael Brea, 31, who had had roles in the television series “Ugly Betty” and the movie “Step Up 3D” experienced a catastrophic melt down which resulted in a blood bath in in his Prospect Heights home.
Neighbors said that Brea was also yelling, “architect of the universe,” a term that Freemasons use to refer to a supreme being. Sylvan Benoit, a longtime family friend, confirmed that Brea was actually a member of the Freemasons and that he had been to a meeting earlier in the evening.
According to police sources, the Masonic sword Brea used to murder his mother was 3-feet long and supposed to be used for ceremonial use.
Cops broke down the door to Brea’s apartment around 2 a.m. They tasered him before eventually arresting and charging him with murder.
Brea was taken straight to Bellevue Hospital for a psychiatric evaluation. There, he confessed that, “When I looked at my mother, I saw the devil.”
The trouble in the Prospect Heights home began around 1 a.m. when several phone calls to 911 were made.
Once inside, police saw Brea gripping a sword and a trail of blood that led to a closed door. Seeing the gruesome site, the NYPD retreated and called the the ESU, Emergency Service Unit cops, all the while keeping and eye on the suspect.
The ESU arrived around at the Prospect Heights apartment around 2 a.m. where they followed the trail of blood into the bathroom where Yannick, a Haitian immigrant and Brea’s mother, was found kneeling in the bathroom with multiple stab wounds to the head.
When Yannick Brea’s family heard the shocking news about her death, they were furious for not breaking down the apartment door as soon as they arrived and instead waiting for ESU to get there.
Yannick’s sister was one of the people devastated by her murder, “I heard [patrol cops] didn’t knock the door down. Are you serious? She could be alive today.”
Michael Brea’s uncle, Serge Marcel revealed there was no history in the family of substance abuse or mental illness, “I never knew this kid could do something like that.”
