The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame has just announced the 2012 inductees.

“We are pleased to announce this year’s Hall of Fame inductees, who represent the broad spectrum of artists that define rock and roll,” said Joel Peresman, President and CEO of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation in a press release.

The 2012 Inductees include Guns N’Roses, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Donovan, Laura Nyro, The Small Faces/The Faces, Beastie Boys, Freddie King, Don Kirshner, Cosimo Matassa, Tom Dowd and Glyn Johns.

The Beastie Boys, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Donovan and Laura Nyro made it through this year. They all were previous nominees that got another chance earlier this year when they were nominated again.

The 27th annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place Saturday, April 14 in Cleveland and premiere on HBO in early May.

“We are also thrilled this year to again be partnered with HBO, who presented the Hall of Fame’s 25th Anniversary Concerts,” said Peresman.

According to rockhall.com, leading up to the April 14 ceremony, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame will host more than a week of special events, including the grand opening of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s new Library and Archives and the Rock My Soul gospel tribute, a free concert for Cleveland.

Back in September, the nominations for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012 were announced.

The nominees that didn’t make the cut include The Cure, Eric B. & Rakim, Heart, Joan Jett and The Blackhearts, Rufus with Chaka Khan, The Spinners and Donna Summer.

Ballots were sent to more than 500 voters, who selected the artists to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame at the 27th Annual Induction Ceremony.”
