New York’s Lincoln Tunnel Accident Causing Delays All Day!

A motorcycle and three bus accident that occured early this morning within the Lincoln Tunnel injured over 20 people leaving eighteen in the hospital.

The accident left one lane closed causing nearly two hours of bumper to bumper traffic.

The accident occurred at around 7:25 a.m. forced the closing of the center tube- Center tube: 8,216 feet- of the tunnel that connects New York to New Jersey, reported Reuters.

Though the accident may be cleared, it could be a while before traffic gets back to running normally. According to Port Authority, a typical morning rush hour – 1,700 buses travel through the tunnel carrying about 62,000 people. Yikes!
