Thrashers acquire Dvorak from Panthers

ATLANTA (AP) — The Atlanta Thrashers have acquired forward Radek Dvorak from the Florida Panthers for forwards Niclas Bergfors and Patrick Rissmiller. The Thrashers also received a fifth-round pick in the 2011 draft in Monday’s trade. The 33-year-old Dvorak, who had seven goals and 21 points for the Panthers, can be an unrestricted free agent after the season



ESPN writer charged with domestic assault in Mass.

BUCKLAND, Mass. (AP) — A senior writer for ESPN has been arrested in Massachusetts on charges including domestic assault and resisting arrest. State police say 42-year-old Howard Bryant was arrested in front of a pizza parlor Saturday in Buckland in western Massachusetts.
