Study Reveals Men Fall In Love Faster Than Women

51+NCCKuOuL. SL500 AA300New research suggests men fall in love faster than women.

According to research conducted in The Way We Were, a new book by U.K. author, Elizabeth Noble, most men say they know whether they are in love after just one date and the rest are likely to know within three and nearly a quarter. The research also suggested that they had believed in love at first sight and knew whether a girl was ‘the one’ within seconds while women were proven to be more indecisive and wait at least a month before making up their mind.

The research also revealed that the average British man falls in love just over three times compared to the average woman who says she has only been in love once. But while they may fall in love more easily, men also get their hearts broken more often with more men claiming to having loved someone who didn’t love them back.

“I was surprised at all this evidence that men fall further and faster in love, more often, than women do,” said Elizabeth Noble in a statement. “I’d have guessed women were more in love with love than men were, but it seems I’m wrong.”

According to Penguin, the research also revealed that men were more likely to say ‘I love you’ first, more likely than women to pine after their first love, and more likely to regret splitting up with their first girlfriend and to think that they were happier with their first love than they are now.

Something both sexes agreed on was that their first love was the one they took the longest to get over.
