LI Man Chased Cop Accused of Wrong-way DWI

An off-duty New York City police officer who allegedly drove drunk the wrong way on Sagtikos Parkway was reportedly chased eight miles by a another driver who had just served as his friends’ designated driver.

Erick Minkoff told CBS New York that the chase early Sunday was “thrilling and nerve wracking.”

Minkoff said he called police, pleading for help, when he saw the other car going the wrong way and weaving while other drivers were honking, flashing their lights and pulling over.
