5 Charged With Vandalizing Vehicles in Suffolk


Five men have been accused of vandalizing vehicles in Middle Island, Ridge and Coram on Friday night, Suffolk County police said.
 
Victims began reporting vehicle windows being shattered in those towns at 9 p.m. and witnesses gave police a description of a vehicle and license plate number.
 
Officers stoppped a vehicle matching the description at a BP gas station on Middle Country Road in Ridge at 12:30 a.m. A bb gun was recovered in the vehicle, police said.
 
Those arrested include Ridge residents Alexander West, 18, 17-year-old Tyler Webber and Eric Wager, 21 along with 18-year-olds Matthew Healy of Shoreham and Dylan Warren of Coram.
 
All were charged with criminal mischief. Webber, Healy and Wager were each additionally charged with making graffiti and possession of graffiti instruments.

They are scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip at a later date.
 
The investigation is continuing.
