First Lady Michelle Obama along with Dr. Jill Biden were booed at a recent NASCAR race.

The ladies were there to serve as the grand marshals for NASCAR’s final event Sunday—-According to CBS, Obama and Biden were at the Homestead-Miami Speedway to promote Joining Forces, an organization that promotes the hiring and training of veterans.

They were being introduced to the crowd along with Army Sgt. Andrew Barry, a former sniper in the Afghanistan  and Iraq wars.

In the video, the crowd cheers and screams for the soldier and his family but when the two women were introduced, the crowd did just the opposite. The crowd cheers quickly turned to boos.

Of course most of the boos were muffled thanks to a military flyover.

While a video of the incident has gone viral, others note that the First Lady received a warmer welcome at a pre-race meeting. The Associated Press reported that the two women received a standing ovation at the pre-race drivers’ meeting Sunday.
