1 Killed, 3 Hurt in Glen Cove Crash


A 20-year-old woman was killed and three teenaged passengers were injured when she crashed her car in Glen Cove later Thursday night.

Nassau County police said Diana Pereyra of New Cassel was driving a Toyota Scion eastbound on Sea Cliff Avenue when the car hit a concrete wall and a LIPA pole at 11:25 p.m.

The car came to rest on the driver’s side. Pereyra was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Two women, ages 18 and 19 years, and 19-year-old man were taken to an area hospital for treatment.

The man was listed in critical condition with suffered brain injuries. Second Squad detectives are continuing the investigation into the cause of the crash.
