Nassau County police are investigating the discovery of skimming devices at two gas stations in Roslyn and Greenvale.
Detectives said the discovery was made after a man contacted the Golf Gas Station on Northern Boulevard in Roslyn after he noticed fraudulent charges on his account. An inspection company was called to inspect the pumps, and they discovered a skimming device, which steals debit and credit card information from unsuspecting customers. The device was handed over to Nassau detectives, police said.
The same technician for the service company then checked other stations and found another skimming device at the Mobile Gas Station on Northern Boulevard in Greenvale, police said.
