Call Me Maybe

Picture 93A new video for “Call Me Maybe” was just released and features a slew of famous faces.

So you’ve heard the song before. It’s a hit, in Canada at least. But surely, it will be a hit here in the United States too.

The song “Call Me Maybe,” comes from Canadian singer Carly Rae Jepsen, and is the lead single from her upcoming second album called “Curiosity.”

The song was first released September 20 and by January was certified Platinum in Canada. This past week the song hit number one on the Canadian Hot 100.

Upon hearing it, according to reports, Bieber said it was the “Catchiest song ever.”

“It’s hard to look right at you baby, but here’s my number so call me, maybe?” sings Jepsen in the hit song. ” Hey, I just met you and this is crazy but here’s my number so call me, maybe?”

Bieber did more than just call her. Reportedly, he helped get her signed to Bieber’s label, School Boy.

A new video just went viral, and what seems to be a PR move to build her presence here in the U.S., features Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, and Ashley Tisdale, among others.  The song is making its rounds shows Bieber, Gomez and Tisdale appearing dancing, goofing off and singing the lyrics to the catchy song using fun props like bananas and sunglasses with mustaches.

The video follows the original video that was released on VEVO in December.

The original follows Jepsen vying for her hot neighbor’s attention. She begins spying on her neighbor while he’s working on his lawn, shirtless. In a bid to get his attention, she moves to the car, where she washes it and strikes a pose. The move works and Jepsen finds her neighbor willing to check out her band.

In the video, things go wrong just when she thinks she has her neighbor’s interest. She goes to write down her number and give it to him but before she can, he gives his number to a bandmate.

Check it out.
