Tarkin was charged with driving while intoxicated with a child, a felony under Leandra’s Law, as well as unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, endangering the welfare of a child, operation of a motor vehicle without an interlock device, criminal possession of a controlled substance, and criminal possession of a hypodermic needle.

He will be arraigned Wednesday at First District Court in Central Islip.
