Not only did a Gorilla escape from the Buffalo Zoo, but we are now finding out that he is quite the comedian. Since his disappearing act from the Zoo, he was able to open up a Twitter account and tweet about his newly found freedom.

The Buffalo gorilla must have taken a lesson from the Bronx Zoo cobra, who also decided to open up a Twitter account when he escaped.

Before the Buffalo gorilla was caught and tranquilized he tweeted fifteen times. Some of his tweets were:

“I’m still large and at large, the tranquilized my cousin…”

“None of this would have happened if they gave me… coned beef!!!!”

“Buffalo sucks, I’m going back to my cage!”

Koga, the 24-year old, 400-pound silver back gorilla escaped early Monday from its cage, confirmed Buffalo police spokesman Mike DeGeorge to WIVB.

As soon as workers realized that Koga was on the loose, police were called and authorities were on the scene quickly. As stated in the reports, the gorilla was soon contained in a zookeeper’s lounge area. Fortunately, authorities were able to tranquillize the animal and brought it back to its enclosure.

“I hope the Gorilla is safe and returned to its place without hurting anyone,” one Facebook user commented.

According to reports, during the melee visitors were taken to a cafeteria or other buildings for safety and there are currently no reports of injury.

“At the Zoo, animals move freely in large and modest enclosures with trees, streams, pools, and other natural-like features,” reads the zoo’s website. “We house a wide variety of animals representing all corners of the earth and have even been known to occasionally invite a traveling koala or white alligator.”

After seeing the gorilla’s tweets, hopefully the zoo will provide him with internet access so he can continue to keep up with his Twitter account.
