Just when we expected the seven year itch and a breakup, Brangelina surprises us and proves their going stronger than ever. The couple is reportedly engaged.
USA Today reported that Beverly Hills jeweler Robert Procop confirmed the engagement saying he helped design the diamond ring for Jolie.
Then, even more proof to the rumors surfaced when the couple was spotted Wednesday night at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art for a private viewing with their son Pax. Here, Jolie, 36, was caught sporting a hefty diamond ring on her ring finger.
The engagement isn’t a total surprise, earlier this year, Pitt, 48, hinted at the possibility, telling CBS that the two were getting pressured to marry from their children.
The two first met on the set of “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” set in 2005 while Pitt was still married. Pitt abruptly divorced his first wife and only a month later, the two were spotted on a beach in Africa, leading rumors of a romance to spread.
What the world thought would be a short fling, turned out to be one of the most successful relationships in Hollywood. In 2005, Pitt was by Jolie’s side while she adopted daughter Zahara, who joined her adopted son Maddox, both of whom Pitt later adopted.
But the two hadn’t remained tightlipped on their relationship.
In 2006 the relationship was finally confirmed when Jolie revealed she was pregnant with Pitt’s child to People Magazine and confirmed they were indeed in a relationship. Their daughter Shiloh was born May 27, 2006.
The two went on to adopt another boy; Pax from Vietnam in 2007 and welcomed twins, Knox and Vivienne in 2008.
It won’t be the first marriage for either. Pitt married “Friends” actress Jennifer Aniston in 1998 and divorced in 2005. Jolie was married to British actor Jonny Miller in 1996. The two divorced in 1999. She also married actor Billy Bob Thorton in 2000 in Las Vegas but divorced in 2003.
