Roosevelt Drive-by Shooting Wounds Teen
A teenager was wounded by gunfire during a drive-by shooting in Roosevelt late Wednesday night, Nassau County police said.
The 19-year-old victim was seated in an Infiniti behind the driver who was pulling into a driveway of a Pleasant Avenue home when the shooter opened fire shortly before midnight Thursday, police said.
The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment of a non-life threatening injury. The assailant fled in an unknown vehicle westbound on Pleasant Avenue.
The 23-year-old woman behind the wheel and a 20-year-old man in the front passenger seat were not hit by the gunfire.
First Squad detectives request anyone with information regarding this crime to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
