Roosevelt Shooting Leaves Man Wounded

A man was shot and wounded in Roosevelt on Friday night, Nassau County police said.

Officers responded to a call of shots fired on Westerfield Avenue where they found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to his arm at 11:19 p.m.., police said.

The victim was taken to an area hospital where he was treated for a non life threatening injury.

Special Investigations Squad detectives request anyone with information regarding this crime to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
