An armed robber shot and wounded a man who refused to turn over his property in Lakeview early Sunday morning, Nasau County police said.

The 32-year-old victim was walking on Pinebrook Avenue when the robber confronted him, the victim resisted and the gunman shot the victim in the left hand and bicep at 12:15 a.m., police said.

The victim was taken to a local area hospital, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The gunman ran away empty handed.
