A Moriches man was arrested for drunken driving after his vehicle was involved in a crash with another and the second driver fled in Mastic over the weekend, Suffolk County police said.
Richard Vorraro Jr. was driving his BMW eastbound on Sunrise Highway just when his vehicle collided with a blue pickup truck east of William Floyd Parkway at 2:40 a.m. Sunday, police said.
The other driver fled the scene. The 36-year-old suspect was taken to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue, where he was treated for non-life-threatening head and rib injuries.
Vorraro was charged with driving while intoxicated. He will be arraigned at a later date.
