Homeless Man Charged With Patchogue Murder

A homeless man has been arrested for allegedly killing another homeless man outside of a church and parochial school in Patchogue last month, Suffolk County police said.

Thomas Lamartina was charged with second-degree murder.

Police said the 30-year-old suspect killed Nicholas MacQueen, 65, outside the Emanuel Lutheran Church on East Main Street.

The victim’s body was found on Saturday, June 28.

Lamartina will be arraigned Tuesday at First District Court in Central Islip.
