Huntington Station Man Injured in Drive-by Shooting

A 23-year-old Huntington Station man was shot during a drive-by shooting Wednesday night, Suffolk County police said.

Sheldon Leftenant was struck when two vehicles passed by his Tippin Drive home and fired into a group of people. Leftenant suffered a gunshot wound to the groin, police said.

He was transported to Huntington Hospital with non-life threatening injuries before undergoing surgery at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, police said.

No arrests have been made in the shooting.
