A Deer Park man is wanted by New York City police for allegedly raping a 21-year-old woman in her Brooklyn apartment over the weekend, according to the NYPD.

David Evanson allegedly broke into the victim’s apartment through a window, choked her as she lay in bed, dragged her into the living room and sexually assaulted her at about 3 a.m. Saturday, police said.

The 25-year-old man fled in a sedan, police said. He is described as 6-feet, 2-inches tall and 250 pounds.

NYPD detectives ask anyone with information on the suspect’s location to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477), submit a tip online at nypdcrimestoppers.com or text a tip to CRIMES (274637), then enter TIP577. All calls are strictly confidential.
