Sailin’ Shoes
This tribute band performing music by Little Feat will play tunes from each incarnation of the influential group from the 1970s through the ’90s. This isn’t just any cover band, however. With a familiar classic sound bellowing with originality yet reminiscent of so many soul, blues, and rock greats of our time, singer/songwriter/guitarist Mark Newman brings tones of familiarity yet originality in his music throughout the many stages he’s had the presence of gracing throughout his acclaimed career. The Oddball Comedy & Curiosity Festival
If laughter is the best medicine, this festival is a miracle. Parks and Recreation’s Aziz Ansari and Trainwreck’s Amy Schumer are joined by SNL’s Jay Pharoah, Comedy Central roaster Jeff Ross, ex-Daily Show correspondent Michael Che, Insomniac Dave Attell and so many others in what is expected to be a night of sharp-tongued, sexual, and morally questionable jokes. Invitational Gallery Show Opening
Breathtaking oil paintings, ceramic works, photography and more define this Invitational Gallery Show and opening reception, featuring the works of Shain Bard, Puneeta Mittal, Pamela Waldroup and Constance Sloggatt Wolf. Counting Crows
Singer Adam Duritz & Co. make this intimate, local stop in support of their seventh album, last year’s Somewhere Under Wonderland. Pat Dixon
Expect plenty of quirky crook jokes from this New York City-based comedian, writer and producer who hosts The New York City Crime Report with Pat Dixon, which is the only comedy podcast that focuses solely on the topic of crime in NYC. The weekly show presents a comedic take on the most bizarre and interesting criminal and court activity in New York City through the lens of the popular city tabloid news. Fire Island National Seashore 50th Anniversary Weekend Celebration
If the late master planner Robert Moses had his way, Long Island’s largest and most magical barrier island would have a parkway running down the middle of it. Marking the preservation of this car-free paradise a half century ago are a slew of events that reveal the soothing natural beauty of one of the region’s only National Park Service sites. This pop/rock quartet is coming to Long Island from LA to play for fans songs off their debut album, Louder, which was released last year. Fans of Disney’s Austin & Ally will recall the band’s singer/guitarist, Ross Lynch, who appears regularly on the show. Opening the show are Jacob Whitesides & Ryland. The Brooklyn Bridge Band
Long Island Music Hall of Famers and diehard rock and rollers will be delivering their legendary heartfelt hits “Sixteen Candles” and “The Worst That Could Happen,” along with other gems from their seemingly endless, four decades-plus career creating addictive melodies and seamless, ever-flowing harmonies. Benyamin
One of Iran’s most famous religious and traditional pop singers will be perform hits from his latest album, 85. Benyamin Bahadori, a south of Tehran native, shares his musical talents with multiple countries around the world and is taking that world tour to Long Island. Sean Paul

Fishbone
For more than 25 years Fishbone has been seen touring alongside acts including the Beastie Boys, Red Hot Chili Peppers, George Clinton, and many more. American Ska, Punk, and Rock Fusion are only a few genres the band crossed paths with, as they continue to push their boundaries with their 2014 release Intrinsically Intertwined. Fishbone is known for their hyperactive and humorous live presence, even adding a bit of social commentary into the mix. Blues Legends
Join host Bill Shelley for a celebration of the unique musical talents who created the highly inspiring sound of The Blues. Some of the film clips that will be shared in this program are the only known filmed performance of the artists.
