The real estate attorney who was shot to death in Commack parking lot on Oct. 20 was killed in a robbery set up by his business partner, Suffolk Police say. Four people have been arrested in connection with the alleged conspiracy.

James DiMartino, 44, of Nesconset was found dead from a gunshot wound to the head in his car outside of Sil La Joung, a restaurant on Jericho Turnpike at the hands of Darnell Festus, 23, of Queens, according to Homicide Squad detectives investigating the case. Festus was arrested on Monday, Nov. 17, and was charged with second-degree murder.

Authorities say that Festus was hired to rob DiMartino, who was in possession of a large sum of cash at the time. The victim’s partner, Ronald Thornton, 37, of Nesconset was also charged with second-degree murder in connection with the case. Thorton is said to have originally asked a stripper, Monique Randall, 19, of Queens Village, to find someone to rob DiMartino. Randall recruited her boyfriend, Donovan Raysor, 20, of St. Albans, who in turn recruited Festus, according to police.

Randall and Raysor were both also charged with second-degree murder.
