Cops Seek Public’s Help in Finding Copiague Teen’s Killer

Suffolk Police are searching for four people in connection with the murder of a 17-year-old Copiague High School senior on the night of Saturday, Nov. 15.

First Precinct officers responded to the Pleasantview Court home of Joseph Scorezelli, where he was found dead of a gunshot wound to the head in front of his house at 11:35 p.m. The shooting had taken place moments earlier in front of 225 Pinelawn Avenue, Copiague. Scorezelli was driven home by a friend.

The investigation is ongoing. Homicide Squad Detectives ask that anyone with information regarding this case to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS or to contact them directly at 631-852-6392. All calls will be kept confidential.
