The Long Island Press, despite only publishing 12 issues last year, nearly swept the New York Press Association's 2013 Better Newspaper Contest  at the Gideon Putnam Resort in Saratoga Springs April 4 & 5, 2014. The newspaper brought home 21 honors across nearly two dozen categories.
