Former National Grid USA Executive Chairman
Bob Catell started in 1958 at Brooklyn Union, rising in the ranks to become CEO, holding that top position when the company became KeySpan. After National Grid acquired it in 2007, Catell was appointed to the board of directors, eventually becoming chairman before stepping down. These days he sits on the boards of more than a dozen business organizations. Currently, he co-chairs Stony Brook University’s Advanced Energy Research & Technology Center (AERTC), whose goal is to ensure that America has reliable, economical and plentiful sources of energy that will support sustained economic development without ruining the natural environment.
