Al Giordano
Al Giordano, 77, of Princeton, KY, formerly of Farmingdale, died on May 8, 2009 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Nashville, TN, after a short illness. A Korean War veteran, he was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church, a two-time All American football player and graduate of Murray State University. He played professional baseball for the Brooklyn Dodgers and was a teacher and coach at Caldwell County High School for 45 years. Son of the late Luigi Dominick Giordano and Rose DiPalma Giordano. Husband of Fonciene Keene Giordano. Father of Joni Giordano of Princeton, Jill Giordano Boitnott (Paul) of Princeton and Jenny Bruce (Randy) of Franklin, TN. Grandfather of John Paul Boitnott, Dominic Giordano Hephner, Keenen Boitnott, Jordan Bruce, Grayson Bruce and Grant Bruce. Brother of Marie Mugavero of Camarillo, CA, and Louise Malcuit of West Islip. Arrangements were made by Morgan’s Funeral Home, Princeton. Service at St. Paul’s Catholic Church with Father Frank Roof officiating. Interment Cedar Hill Cemetery.
