All County Business Solutions “Blue Angels” Vs. Stutzmann Funeral Home “Racers”

The Blue Angels took to the field against the tough Racers. The Angel’s bats were ringing with the sound of hits, led by Sophia Leeds 6H,2R, 2RBI’s, Amanda Garcia 5H, 2R, 1RBI, Jackie Courtesis 4H,1R, 1RBI, & Brianna Kerrane 4H, 1R, 2RBI’s. Speedy Claire O’ Regan beat out the play for 3H and 2 RBI’s. Michela Guira made her at bats count with 2H, scoring a run and driving one home. Joanna Vissichelli used her time at the plate to move a runner into scoring position. Team vets Jackie Courtesis & Sophia Leeds were outstanding in the field, with the duo recording 2 double plays, Jackie was a part of 8 outs and Sophia 11. Amanda, Brianna, Claire, Joanna, & Michela are also doing a fine job learning to field their positions and attempting to make the outs.

Stutzmann Funeral Home “Racers”
Vs. Glen Oaks

Here is a summary: Last week the Racers scored big against the Glen Oaks team. The rally was led by Julia in the first inning Haley in the second inning, Gabby in the third inning and Paden in the fourth inning. There was excellent fielding by Julia, Kelsie, Marissa, Shayna, Paden, Lyndsey, Gabby, Lauren, Rachel, Melanie, Haley and Hannah. The Racers also played another Merillon team and closed with a big lead. The amazing hitting and fielding was done by Lauren, CC, Lyndsey, Melanie, Kelsie, Gabby, Hannah, Paden and Haley. It was a close game this week against the other Merillon team with almost the entire team hitting big and fielding well.

Fundamentals of Ball “Dodgers” Vs.
Dr. William Facibene MD PC “Twins”

The Dodgers despite the threat of rain were ready to face the Twins. The Dodgers scored 3 runs in the first with timely singles by Alex Okeef, Joseph Muratore, Mathew Strocchia, and a double by Cenzo Montoni. The Dodgers changed infield positions with great success as Paul Depaulis made a great catch and converted it into a triple play. Mathew Merolla with his new first baseman glove, looked sharp and made a great pick after a low throw in the dirt. Jordan Seidenberg continues to show great range at shortstop and pitchers mound. Kevin Walsh made a great attempt to catch a fly ball behind the plate. Christian Zamora and Ryan Gonzalez scored with great base-running and hustle to keep the Dodgers in the game.

Vs. The Fundamentals of Ball “Dodgers”

Four Nationals players; Kevin Langan, Alex Banks, Nicholas Barry, & P.J. Vayias had outstanding offensive games, scoring two runs apiece. The Nationals also benefited from excellent defensive plays by shortstop John Tagios, pitcher Shayne Simoncini and catcher Matthew Reda. Alan Birnbaum, Chris Haughwout, John Vlantis and Daniel Mattei contributed some important hits to the Nationals’ effort and drove in a number of runs, too.

Mike’s NHP Convenience Store “Athletics”  Vs. Modell’s “Twins”

The Twins took the field against a tough Athletics team. The Twins gloves were hot from the start with a catcher’s put out from Marc Baronci. The fielding only got better as the game went on as Andrew Cagner, Chris Piccirillo, Michael Morrone and Justin Kuzler all made good defensive stops. The bats were alive with hot hitting from Robbie Booth, Stephen Farishian, James Kim, Anthony Treadwell and Jubin Mathew.

Fundamentals of Ball “Dodgers”
Vs All County Business  Solutions “Padres”

The Dodgers brought their gloves to the game today against the Padres. Mathew Merolla and Joe Muratore were a great combination accounting for a 123 inning in the first. Paul Depaulis with the lead on the line, made a fantastic double play to end the 4th. Christian Goustas behind the plate and Jordan Seidenberg at shortstop, also made force outs to protect the lead. The offense was powered by the big bats of Cenzo Montoni with 3 RBI’s, Christian Zamora, 2 RBI’s, Kevin Walsh 2 RBI’s, Mathew Strochia 2 RBI’s and Alex Okeefe 2 RBI’s.

Baxter’s Sport Shop “Diamondbacks” Vs. Kiwanis Club “Indians”

The Diamondbacks played another strong game in an exciting 8-4 win over the incredible Indians. Excellent pitching, keeping the potent Indians at bay, was turned in by Jordan Greiff, Philip Chang & Craig Cagner (each gave the team 2 strong innings). Hitting stars included Ben Newman (run scoring triple), Christopher Kerrane (multiple hits and RBIs) & Raymond Gresalfi (smash RBI single). Outstanding defense was performed by Brian Volk (who caught a major league pop-up at SS and also blocked the plate to nail a runner at the plate), Jared Kaiman (solid at 1B and was the OF who threw out the runner at the plate), Charlie Goodwin (gunning out a runner at 1B from the OF) and Dylan Kareff (all-around solid game).

Baxter’s Sport Shop “Diamondbacks”
Vs. Stutzmann Funeral Home “Angels”

The Diamondbacks ended the regular season with an exciting 9-9 tie versus the amazing Angels on a day that was, for once, nice for baseball. The Diamondbacks were led by the powerful hitting of Jared Kaiman, Jack Tucker and Christopher Kerrane. On the mound, excellent performances were turned in by Philip Chang, Brian Volk, Charlie Goodwin and Dylan Kareff. Solid defense was the order of the day from Craig Cagner and Dylan Schwartz.

Dr. Barbaro “Orioles” 3 Vs. Plain & Fancy Landscaping “Rays” 2

 Full Message Tough loss tonight for the Rays against a strong Orioles squad. Superb pitching by Christian Carrick, Matt Mastoridis and Anthony Lanzilotta striking out a combined 15 batters. Hitting was led by Christian who was 3 for 3 and scored both our runs, Nevin Nambiar with a screaming line drive RBI single and Phil Silverstein who drove a nice shot into the outfield. Jack Nutall had a great at bat driving in a run and he and Anthony did a fine job behind the dish tonight. Max Cohn hit the ball well and worked out a key walk. Mike Rhindress did a nice job at second base. Special thanks to our call ups Casey Donohue and Joe Langan. Your feistiness and hustle was outstanding.

Vs. Plain & Fancy Landscaping “Rays” 0

A team effort by the Blue Jays’ defense led them to victory over the Rays. Fran Labita’s cat like reactions behind the plate and Josh Putter’s good D at second base led the way. Brian Park and Joe Joe Del Giorno made some nifty plays as well in the outfield and shortstop respectively. Gregory Donovan stole out or two at first base and Tyler Baron key RBI sparked the offense, as well by the upper farm call-ups Thomas Messina and Louis Mangia. The pitching was very good a combined 1 hit shutout was pitched by Vincent Rossello and Louis Plomatillo.

All County Business Solutions “Ducks”
Vs. VIrgilio Chiropractic “River Sharks”

Another great team effort by the River Sharks, who beat a tough Ducks team by a score of 5 – 3. Justin DiDonato & Brian Haug took control of the mound with solid defensive plays made by the whole team. Brian Haug & Joe Pagan both had “in the park” HRs which resulted in 5 RBI’s between them. Giovanni Castelli & Ross Crames each had 2 singles and James Messina, Frankie Suppa & Justin DiDonato contributed with singles of their own. A good team effort was put in by Ethan Schonhaut . Thanks to Matt Lorandini who was called up to help complete the team.
