CPR-AED Class
On June 10 and 17 at 7 p.m., certified American Red Cross instructor Roseanne DiSimone teaches CPR and AED in a two-part class at the Plainview-Old Bethpage, 999 Old Country Rd. (opposite the Morton Village Plaza). Participants must attend both sessions. Cost is $50 per person, payable to the instructor at registration. Registration is open to all adults and children, space permitting. Children under age 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Participants will receive an American Red Cross CPR/AED certification card after successfully completing the course.

Massimo Pigliucci is a professor of ecology and evolution at the SUNY Stony Brook and is known as an outspoken critic of creationism and advocate of science education. His research in science focuses on genotype-environment interactions, on natural selection and on the constraints imposed on the latter by the genetic and developmental makeup of organisms.
