Anna Lau, Bill Robeson Score in Long Island Greenbelt Trail Run

Hicksville endurance athletes Anna Lau and Bill Robeson both successfully completed the May 9 Long Island Greenbelt Trail 25 Kilometer Run.

Lau completed the 15.5-mile course from the Plainview trailhead on Sunnyside Boulevard to the Cold Spring Harbor terminus of the trail and back in 3 hours, 28 minutes, 12 seconds, placing her 59th overall. Robeson scored right behind Lau in 60th place with a time of 3:28:17.The run was conducted by the Greater Long Island Running Club under the direction of veteran Race Director Nick Palazzo, with a total of 92 finishers in the 25K and another 38 finishers in the accompanying 50 Kilometer Run. A portion of the proceeds will be turned over to the Long Island Greenbelt Trail Conference to support the good work that the Conference does to maintain and protect Long Island’s network of trails.
