Russell Ciolli (Grimaldi’s Pizzeria), who is spearheading Garden City’s first Restaurant Week, July 20-23, 4-7 p.m., reports that there are now 18 Garden City restaurants offering three-course price fixed meals during Restaurant Week. Recent additions to the list of participants include Fianei’s Paninoteca Italiano, La Nonna Bella, New York Soup Exchange and Upper Crust Cafe.
Chamber organizers report that activities added to the Restaurant Fair on Friday evening, July 24 (rain date, July 25) include the Fivestone Band performing classic contemporary rock; plus, there will also be two face painters and the Coke “Polar Bear” bouncer for the kids between 6 and 8 p.m. courtesy of the New York Racing Association (NYRA), contributing sponsor.
