Two Levittown Subway Shops Robbed at Gunpoint

Subject Turns Gun on Customers, Demands Money

Two Subway sandwich shops in Levittown were robbed at gunpoint just two days apart this week.

According to 8th Squad detectives, at 3:55 p.m on July 11 a man entered Subway, located at 7 Emerson Ave., and produced what appeared to be a silver handgun while threatening the clerk not to touch an alarm. Police stated the subject then walked behind the counter and removed cash from the register. He allegedly fled with the money into a waiting silver-colored car with a driver. The car proceeded eastbound on Hempstead Turnpike.

The armed subject is described as male, white, approximately 5’6” with brown hair and a brown goatee. He was allegedly wearing a black hat with a black doo-rag under it, a green sweater and black pants. There was no description available of the driver.

On July 13, detectives reported a woman entered through the rear door of Subway, located at 2731 Hempstead Tpke. and produced a silver handgun. She allegedly turned it on the store manager and the three customers present, demanding money from them all. The subject took cash relinquished by the four victims and removed additional cash from the store register, subsequently fleeing with these proceeds out the front door of the location and eastbound on Hempstead Turnpike, on foot, police reported.

The subject in the second incident is described as female, white, 5’5”, 110 lbs. with long dark hair in a ponytail. She was allegedly wearing a green sweatshirt and light blue jeans, carrying a multi-colored shoulder bag and armed with a silver handgun.
